: found a possible hoarding situation. courtney robinson is live along 11th street to tell us about it. >> israa to looked at. we want you to see exactly what we are talking about. these odd belongings of -- these are the belongings of eloisa diaz. she was evicted. they came and took out olivehurst stuff. she's concerned people will take things. she has dealt with that at least once overnight. she says that she cannot pick out from all of this what is most important because if she says every item is important. her intention for keeping all of this was to help her family in venezuela. she says she worked hard to collect all these things to have them dump on the street. >> i've worked hard years to collect things to send them to my country. >> we went through a situation with the blizzard and. help thenre's no either. >> councilman jim graeme brought over two pickup trucks. she was able to put some items in there for temporary storage. she says that is not good enough. we will see dump trucks if this stuff is not moved. it is impossible to move all of these things. >> keep us posted. >>>

as a d.c. police officer used excessive force when he shot and killed a dog. the dog began fighting yesterday during a street festival in adams morgan. the officer tried to separate them and one dog charged that the crowd. the officer is an experienced canine handler and shot the dog only as a last resort. police are reviewing the incident. >>> investigators are searching for the persons who are in the houses of two police officers in calvert county. if the house of a maryland state trooper was shot at friday night and saturday morning someone fired at a st. mary's county deputy's house and vehicles. >>> northbound on the 14th street bridge there's a new traffic pattern that went into effect minutes ago. the left shoulder is closed for the entire lenton of the 14th street bridge. all four lanes are being routed to the left of the construction. the left exit lane to the memorial bridge allows drivers to exit prior to the work zone. >>> congress goes back to work today. taxes are expected to dominate the agenda. lawmakers fight over whether to extend the bush tax cuts before they expi

>> and once again, we say good morning, washington. we are glad you're joining us. for the second straight morning, we're waking up with scattered rain showers. let's get straight to your traffic and weather. lisa is standing by with the latest on how all of this is affecting your commute. first, meteorologist adam caskey. what's the latest? >> a flash flood watch in effect until 8:00 a.m. and then big changes coming, this just in the next couple of hours. the flash flood watch is almost for the entire viewing area. it does include the metro area in parts of virginia and maryland. so let's go to the doppler 7 radar. the temperatures shown in yellow. notice the yellow and the red on the radar? the very heavy rainfall clipping fairfax county. it is going to cross over the potomac and into frederick county and then hagerstown as well momentarily this morning. otherwise, a few spotty, light showers going on the high temperature about 83, becoming less humid. we'll dry out and have a fair amount of sunshine. more rainfall later this week. >> while you were sleeping there was a crash on
